JAMMU: Lohri festival was celebrated in JK Group of Colleges with lots of fun and frolic. Students presented beautiful dance items which spell bounded the audience. Folk songs sung by the students created the ambience of village where Lohri is celebrated with full enthusiasm. The programme concluded with the lighting of holy bonfire around which the students danced, sang and enjoyed a lot.
Groundnuts, Rewri, Ghachak and Chirwa, the traditional sweets for Lohri were distributed among the students. Sara Daluja, Member of Management, Brig. (Retd.) Sukhdev Singh, Director JK Educational Society and Shashi Chaudhary, Principal JK Group of Colleges congratulated the students on the eve of Lohri and showered their blessings on them.
