J&K Govt designates Assistant Commissioner Revenue of respective Districts as “Claims Enquiry Officer” for compensation to victims of Hit & Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022

In compliance to the directions passed by the Supreme Court of India in WP. No. 295 of 2012 I.A No. 71387 of 2023 titled S. Rajaseekaran Vs Union of India & Ors and in continuation to Government Order No. 1597-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated13.12.2023, it is hereby ordered that “Assistant Commissioner Revenue” of the respective Districts shall be the “Claims Enquiry Officer” for Compensation to Victims of Hit & Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022 in the Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, under Notification No. G.S.R. 163 (E) dated 25.02.2022 issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, read complete order below.
