J&K Govt amends J&K Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act 2010

JAMMU: The government on Thursday amended Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act 2010.
“In exercise of the powers conferred under Cause (ii) of proviso to Section 3 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Act, 2010 (Act No. XVI of 2010), the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir excludes from the operation of the Act such categories of Gazetted Level Teaching/Faculty posts and/or any other posts, as may be identified by the Health and Medical Education Department, from time to time, for the purpose of engagement on academic arrangement basis under the provisions of Jarnmu and Kashmir Medical and Dental Education (Appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis) Rules, 2020 in all the Government Medical Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, subject to the condition that such posts have been advertised at least once during the last five years and remained unfilled,” reads Notification S.O. 296 issued by Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department.
