J&K girls beat Dadra-Nagar Haveli in Hockey

JAMMU: Young female hockey players of Jammu and Kashmir, who could not get the due attention in the hands of J and K State Sports Council and remained neglected during the coaching camp, registered a solitary goal win against Dadra and Nagar Haveli in
the ongoing Hockey India Seventh Sub-Junior National Hockey Championship (Women) Division-B at Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.
In a toughly fought, highly defensive encounter, Jammu and Kashmir took the lead in the eighth minute through Ishta Sharma. From there on there were few openings for either side as J and K steered to a victory, the reports reaching here said. Now, in their next outing, J and K shall take on Hockey Coorg in their Pool-A match. Important to mention here that Hockey J and K despite their best of efforts could not get a coach and refreshment during the coaching camp held at K K Hakhu Stadium, courtesy poor administration of State Sports Council.
