JK emerging as unparalleled golfing destination: Secy Tourism

PUNE: Department of Tourism participated in one of the important golf promoting events in Pune organised by the PHD Chamber titled as ‘Promoting India as a Golf Tourism Destination’ the event was attended by the ambassadors from Taipie, Brunei Darussalam, Georgia besides the representatives from national and international golf associations. Secretary Tourism, Farooq A Shah who was the Chief Guest on the occasion presented the State of Jammu and Kashmir as one of the uncontested golfing destination because of its world class infrastructure in Kashmir and Jammu as well as the Leh Golf course which will be commissioned soon.
The secretary showcased the beauty of the State through visual presentation which he presented as the best in the country as post golfing experiences show. Director Floriculture M.H Mir, Director Tourism Kashmir Mehmood A Shah, MD Cable Car, Secretary Jammu Tawi Golf course and Manager Marketing SKICC invited the participants from the embassy and the golfing association dignitaries to visit Kashmir and enjoy the world class golf turfs along with the family who can enjoy the diverse unique tourism products and services of Jammu and Kashmir. In his address the ambassador of Taipie appreciated the Pahalgam Golf Course as he has played in it which he termed as the best and tempting one.
The officials said that the endeavour for promoting tourist destinations across the State shall continue.
