J&K closes on quarterfinal berth in Youth National Volleyball C’ship

JAMMU: J&K men team kept its hopes alive for quarterfinal as they outplayed Tripura by straight 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-13) sets in the fifth match of the ongoing 25th Youth National Volleyball Championship, organised by Madhya Pradesh Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Federation of India at Panna in Madhya Pradesh. This was the fourth consecutive win of J&K in the Championship.
As per report reaching here, If J&K will win the next match of Pool-B against Rajasthan tomorrow then it will qualify for quarterfinal.
Earlier J&K after losing against Andhra Pradesh by 3-1 (15-25, 21-25, 25-19, 23-25), continued its winning spree in group matches by beating Maharashtra by 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-18), Chandigarh by 3-0 (25-15, 25-08, 25-15), and Uttarakhand by 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-12).
J&K Spikers Vipan Kumar, Koushal Verma, Mohd Yasir, Arun Sharma, Sumit Singh, Riaz Ahmed and Nitin Sharma Libro displayed their magnificent skills and dominated the proceedings to achieve victory.
The J&K team left under the banner of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir is playing under the guidance of UT volleyball coaches.
In a message sent to team, Patron-in-chief Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Raj Daluja, President Sidharth Daluja, Chief Executive Officer Kuldip Magotra and other office bearers sent their good wishes to J&K team, manager and coach for excellent performance in the match. They also wished the men for better performance in the next matches.
