JAMMU: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday issued provisional calendar for the 4th Session of the Legislative Assembly.
As per the Provisional Calendar, starting from 2nd January, 2017 with Governor’s Address to Legislature, House Sittings would continue till 4th February, 2017.
According to the calendar, the discussion on Motion of Thanks on Governor’s Address and reply thereto will be held on 3rd and 4th January, 2017. The Annual Financial Statement of Expenditure for 2017-2018 and Presentation of Supplementary Statement of Expenditure for 2016-2017 will be done on 9th January, 2017. The general discussion on Budget will be held on 10th & 11th January, ending with reply thereto.
The demand for grants for various departments would be taken up from 12th January to 27th January, 2017 and the Appropriation Bills will be taken up on 28th January, 2017, followed by Government Business on 30th January, 2017. The Private Members Resolutions will be taken up on 31st January, 2017 and 2nd February, 2017 while as Private Members Bills will be taken up on 1st & 3rd February, 2017. There will be Government Business on 4th February, 2017 if any, the calendar says.
