J&K boys defeat Bihar in Sub-Jr National Volleyball

JAMMU: After losing opening match to Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir boys team won second match against Bihar in the ongoing 39th Sub-Junior National Volleyball Championship (boys and girls) being held at Puducherry.
In the opening match, Jammu and Kashmir boys team lost to Manipur by 3-0 (17-25, 21-25, 15-25) sets. In second match, Jammu and Kashmir team bounced back and outplayed Bihar by 3-0 (25-11, 25-18, 25-23) sets. For Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Amar and Abhinandan displayed excellent skills and helped the team to win the match.
In the third match Jammu and Kashmir boys team is to meet Chandigarh tomorrow.
In girls section, State team got walkover from Goa and got two points in opening match while lost to Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in second and third match respectively.
In this six-day championship, 28 boys teams and 24 girls teams are participating.
