J&K beats Chhattisgarh, Bihar in Youth National Volleyball

JAMMU: After losing opening game against Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir State team came back with good performance and won next league matches against Chhattisgarh and Bihar in the ongoing 20th Youth National Volleyball (boys and girls) Championship, held at Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
In the opening game, Jammu and Kashmir team lost to Uttar Pradesh by 3-0 (14-25,22-25, 17-25). In second match, after falling 2-0 in the first two sets, the Jammu and Kashmir spikers played a brilliant game and won next three sets and defeated Chhattisgarh with the final score 3-2 (21-25,16-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-12).
In another match, J&K outplayed Bihar by straight 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15). Sourav Sharma, Rasiq, Ankush and Rajeshwar played excellent game for J&K. J&K shall play next league matches against Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and and Uttarakhand in Pool-D. The team is playing under the supervision of Coach Reemiz Tariq and Manager Mohinder Kumar Sharma.
In a message sent to team, President Volleyball Association of J&K, Sidharth Daluja congratulated the players and officials for their excellent performance in the national championship and exhorted them to continue their efforts in achieving further success in the championship.
