SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Bank clinched the 24th State Football Championship outplaying DFA Srinagar 2-1 in the final played, here today. The championship was organised by J&K Football Association (JKFA). The first half of the all important game ended in a goalless draw with both sides making attacks and counter attacks. In the second half of the play, the professional side of J&K Bank entered the field fully refreshed with numerous attacks on the opponent goal post. In one such raid, Rohit took advantage of Anand’s pass and brought in the first blood in the 60th minute. However, DFA levelled the score on board with Asrar netting the ball only to find J&K Bank again taking lead through Danish in the last minutes of the game top emerge 2-1 winner. In the title clash, Chairman Economic Alliance, Haji Mohammad Yaseen Khan was chief guest while Ex-chairman Sports Board J&K Bank, Abdul Hameed Banday and Zeeshan Pandit were guests of honour.
