J&K Bank beat SAIL Bokaro 2-0

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Bank beat SAIL Bokaro by two goals to nil to reach the semifinals in the All India Super Cup at KD Babu Singh Stadium Lucknow. A decent number of crowd witnessed the match as State Commissioner of Police was the Chief Guest in the inaugural function.
Earlier, in the first half, Bank striker, Aiman Rashid got the early breakthrough scoring on a wonderful ball by Prem in the ninth minute. Shahid and Toufeeq came closer at many occasions but missed to score.
In the second half, Jhonny Kumar assisted Shahid as he made no mistake to give his team lead of second goal in the 80th minute. JK Bank dominated the proceedings of the entire match and held with maximum part of ball possession. Shahid Mushtaq for his marvellous play and scoring was adjudged the Man of the Match receiving cash award of Rs 5,000.
With this win, J&K Bank team confirmed their birth in the semi finals. The ONGC, Air India, Deccan Pune, Kerala FC will play their matches tomorrow.
It was after a gap of more than two months JK Bank was participating in All India level tournament. Earlier this year Bank team lifted Shiekh Ul Alam Cup, Annual Super Division League and secured runner up position in CRPF tournament.
