JJSF seeks registration of FIR against Principal SPMR College of Commerce

JAMMU: Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF) alleged that the fire incident in Government SPMR College of Commerce is not an accident but a deliberate attempt to destroy the evidences of fraud committed by the principal in connivance with some of its staff members as for the same a complaint was filed with the State Vigilance Organization (SVO) on 18th March, 2017.
This was disclosed by Provincial President JJSF, Vikram Singh Chib while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday.
Addressing media persons, Vikram disclosed that an application under Section 6 of J&K RTI Act, 2009 was filed by him to get the information of purchases made by the college authorities, which disclosed fraud and misuse/misappropriation of funds at large scale. He said that yesterday’s fire incident at the said college is a deliberate attempt to destroy the evidences. He said that fearing the consequences of the complaint filed by him to SSP SVO, Jammu College authorities conspired to destroy the evidences.
Vikram disclosed that information received through RTI disclosed that the computers/laptops, projectors, photocopiers, etc. installed in the college are not as per the required specifications amounting to the loss of
lakhs of rupees to the public exchequer.
He said that Prof J.L Bhagat, Principal of SPMR College of Commerce should be booked under Section 201, 435 RPC for the said act and a special inquiry should be initiated to ascertain the truth of the fire incident at the college and till the inquiry is concluded, the Principal should be suspended so that he may not destroy the evidence against him.
He appealed to the SVO, Jammu, authorities to register FIR against the principal and some other staff members without further delay and seize the record of the college so that truth may come out and culprits be punished at the earliest. He said that if it is not done at the earliest, JJSF shall be left with no other option but to approach the Court for the same.
Others who were present in the press conference included Atul Sudan State Vice President JJSF, Clinton Sharma State Provincial Vice President, Sagar Chib District President, Pardeep, Amit, Prince, Ajay, Anil, Ankush and Dev Shubham.
