JDA retrieves three kanals of prime land

JAMMU: Working on the direction of Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Mubarak Singh, the enforcement wing during anti-encroachment drive retrieved approximately three Kanals of land at Nanak Nagar Sector No. 10 near graveyard over head tank, valuing more than Rs. 3.5 crore whereas one Pacca structure under construction on JDA land backside Jhelum Resort Gandhi Nagar, near JDA store and more than 20 illegal structures, Reharis and Pharis from Rail Head Complex area under JDA Division No. I officer were removed/dismantled.
Enforcement team under the supervision of Narinder Singh Khilafwarzi Officer and comprising Sunil Kumar Nanda, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Girdhari Lal, Tarseem Lal and Renu Devi Khilafwarzi Inspectors and Gangmen carried out the anti-encroachment drive despite stiff resistance by the people.
At Nanak Nagar, Sector No. 10, compound walls raised by the encroachers on State land were dismantled.
The value of the land is reported more than 3.5 crore. Land in question is being developed by JDA for developmental purposes.
Besides, more than 20 unauthorised structures, Reharis and Pharis at Rail Head area were removed/ dismantled. Encroachers have been asked not to install Rehris and Pharis again on the roadside.
The enforcement wing will continue its anti-encroachment drive against the encroacher/ violators.
