JDA intensifies drive against encroachers, violators

JAMMU: Jammu Development Authority on Tuesday intensified its anti encroachment drive against the violators/encroachers who are raising constructions violating the provision of Jammu Master Plan and trying to grab JDA land under the pretext of fake documents.
As per the directions of the Vice Chairperson, Sushma Chauhan, Director Land Management, JDA has directed the Khilafwarzi wing and Tehsildars of JDA to prepare the list of ongoing violations and take cognisance under the provisions of Jammu Master Plan.
Notices under control of Building Operation Act 1988 are being issued to the violators falling under JDA limits and strict action will be taken against them under rule.
Vice Chairperson, Sushma Chauhan has asked the people to apply for building permissions, in case their cases falls within JDA limits. She also assured that their cases shall be dealt on priority basis without any delay. She also informed the general public that building permissions sanctioned by concerned BDOs/Sarpanchs within the jurisdiction of JDA are not valid and constructions being raised in accordance with BDO plans are in violation of Jammu Master Plan.
