JAMMU: In accordance with Election Notification dated 2nd June, 2016 and the constitutional provisions of the Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS), Chief Election Commissioner, O.P Gupta intimated to Mahajan Biradari and the legitimate voters of Sabha that till to date no consensus has reached among the contesting candidates for the post of the President of the Sabha.
But still, he said, the elders of Mahajan Biradari are in hope of consensus/withdrawal of all eligible candidates in favour of the one candidate acceptable among them. However, he further intimated that election of the Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha President shall be held on 17th of July 2016 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM if necessary.
