JAMMU: Jhelum Cricket Club (JCC), Sharda Cricket Club (SCC) and New Star Cricket Club (NSCC) won their respective match in the ongoing First Pink Ball Cricket Tournament for KPs being organised by Krish Sports and Events, here on Saturday.
In the first match, JCC defeated Bharat Cricket Club (BCC) by nine wickets.
BCC, batting first after winning the toss, scored 100 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Romil (30) and Rakesh (25) runs were the main scorers. For JCC, Sanjay Koul picked five wickets while Ramesh took two. In reply, JCC easily chased the target for the loss of just one wicket. Vishal (50 runs off 29 balls) and Kirti (30 runs off 34 balls) were the main scorers. Karan took the lone wicket for BCC. For his five wicket haul, Sanjay Koul was named Man of the match.
In another match, SCC outplayed Brahm Cricket Club by four wickets. Brahm Club, batting first, was bundled out for 100 runs in 18.5 overs. Vikas and Sarthak made 28 and 24 runs respectively. For SCC, Sumit clinched six wickets in four overs by giving 13 runs followed by Ankush, who took two.
In reply, SCC made 102 runs for six on 16 overs thus won the match by four wickets.
Akash Raina (22) and Anshul Pandita (21) were the top scorers. Rajesh grabbed three wickets for Brahm Cricket Club. Sumit Dhar of SCC was named Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.
In the third and last match of the day, NSCC trounced Milan Cricket Club (MCC) by 105 runs. Bating first, NSCC scored 139 runs for the lss of six wickets in 16 overs. Shashi played inning of 54 runs off 41 balls and Rohit made 27 runs off 17 balls. For MCC, Ankur took three wickets and Arvind picked two.
In reply, chasing the target MCC scored only 34 runs for the loss of ten wickets on 7.3 overs. Rahul Musa claimed four wickets while Rahit Kanth took three for NSCC. For his best performance, Rahul Musa was declared Man of the Match.
Today’s matches were officiated by Rakesh and Sunny as Umpires while Rehan Rana acted as Scorer.
