Jawahar Lal Nehru exhibition commences in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Two-day District Level Jawahar Lal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition commenced on Thursday at Government Higher Secondary School, Boys Udhampur.
The exhibition, organised by District Institute of Educational and Training (DIET), Udhampur was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
As many as 97 science models of different categories were exhibited under higher secondary, high school and elementary level, drawn from various government as well as private educational institutions of the district.
The DDC had a round of exhibition and interacted with the students and asked them about utility of their concept. She appreciated the effort of students put in for preparing models to depict innovative concepts in science, mathematics and environment protection.
Congratulating the organisers of the exhibition, the DDC said that such type of programmes provide platform to the students to showcase their hidden talent and innovative ideas. She asked the organisers to hold more such exhibitions in near future too so that scientific temperament could be developed among the students for the betterment of the society. She called upon the organisers to organise awareness programme based on social evils to develop a healthier society for living.
Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Deputy Director Planning, Ashok Khajuria, Principal DIET, V.K Soni, DIET HoDs, Ved Parkash Sharma and J.M Tharmatt, Principals, Headmasters, staff and students of various schools participated in the exhibition.
