Jatwal emerges champions of Samba in JHPVL

SAMBA: Jatwal emerged as champions of the Samba region in the Jagruk Hindustan Premier Volleyball League (JHPVL).
“In the final match of phase one held today at Samba, Jatwal beat Samba by three set in front of near capacity crowd at Samba Sports Stadium,” Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
Sunil Singh Charak playing for Jatwal turned out to be the Star of the match and was instrumental in Jatwal being crowned as the champions, PRO Defence said.
“The winning team has been nominated for the Super 8 Phase two of the competition where it will lock horns with the winners of Damana, Sunjawan, RS Pura, Bari Brahmana, Rajpura, Kathua and Janglot,” he said adding that the Super 8 will be held at Samba from 3rd to 10th May, 2016.
Chief Guest, Commander, Samba Brigade complimented both the teams for putting up a spirited performance in the final match and wished them good luck. He urged the players to continue to excel in the sports. He also urged the people residing in the border areas to be Jagruk Hindustanis in the true sense and be partners with the security forces in ensuring security of the nation.
