Jat women should lead community from front: Ch Manmohan

AKHNOOR: Ch Manmohan Singh, President All India Jat MahaSabha (AIJMS) and former Mayor in a strong message has asked the womenfolk to lead the community from the front as they can play a significant role in mitigating the problems.
Addressing a meeting at Akhnoor in which AIJMS office bearers of Tehsils Akhnoor, Khour and Jourian were present in large numbers, the Jat leader sought support of the community women in uplifting the condition of the Jats in J&K. He said that women have the potential to change societies and therefore the Jat women should take this as a challenge and steer the community to new heights by confronting all problems head on using the inherent patience and power of understanding. The meeting was organized by Kuldeep Kour, President Tehsil Akhnoor.
The former Mayor said that if women can handle their household chores with extreme ease and even lead the country then why is she hesitant to play a lead role in taking the Jat community forward? He said when today the country is being headed by a woman President then why is our community not coming forward to join the fight for the rights of the Jat community? He said that the day when the women will place their feet outside their homes, many issues of the community will automatically be resolved and chances of getting the OBC status will become brighter.
The Jat MahaSabha President said that 11 states have given OBC status to Jats then why J&K is denying the same? He said that Jat women, youth, aged and even children should come forward to seek justice as the government seems to be in slumber and is not paying heed to the genuine demand of OBC status raised by the community at different platforms.
Seeing over the enthusiasm among women for upcoming convention, Ch Manmohan Singh said that the October 9 convention will be a great success and historic as almost the Jat community are eagerly waiting for this convention.
Kuldeep Kour, President Tehsil Akhnoor, in her address, motivated the women to come forward and join the fight for the rights of the Jat community. She appealed to the community women to support the women convention scheduled for October 9.
Kuldeep Kour also assured Ch Manmohan Singh for maximum participation of Jat women in the convention to make it a big success. She also extended full support to the Jat MahaSabha President in strengthening the organization and also to work for getting OBC status as soon as possible.
Ch Manmohan Singh praised the efforts of Kuldeep Kour for organizing this meeting and for her role in leading the community with confidence and strong resolve.
Brigadier Pawan Sauntra said that women have a great contribution in the progress of any society, in the same way Jat women should also come forward and fight shoulder to shoulder with men for community’s rights.
Prominent among those who were present include Ch Jung Bhadhur, Ch Surinder Singh, Ch Ajit Singh, Ch Tarsem Singh, Ch Pardeep Singh, Ch Rattan Singh, Ch Om Jeet Singh, Madan Singh, Ch Rachhpal Singh, Ch Suram Singh, Ch Gurdeep Singh, Ch Balbir Singh and Ch Tarseem Lal.
