JAMMU: A religious album Jai Chandi Maa of a budding singer from Jammu, Janu Katoch Jandrahia was released in a function here on Thursday.
The Chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, who was the Chief Guest in the function, released the album.
Brought out by Katoch Films, the DVD has lyrics of Janu Katoch Jandrahia and music by Kumar Gourav.
Congratulating the team of Katoch Films and singer Janu Katoch in particular, Zorawar appreciated the efforts of young budding singer. “We feel happy to see that budding and talented youngsters of the region have made their presence felt in the field of singing and music. Another young singer Siddharth Slathia, who is just 25 years old and hailing from Gurha Slathia area, has rocked on social media. Both these youngsters have set a perfect example for the youth of this region that they can achieve everything through hard work and dedication,” Jamwal said.
He also suggested two budding singers from the region to make their contribution in the ongoing campaign launched by the Team Jammu against drug menace in the region.
“It is very alarming situation that during the last one year recovery of drugs has increased manifold and so is the cases registered against drug mafia but reports of deaths due to this menace continue to pour in. I would suggest Janu Katoch and Siddharth Slathia that they should make their contribution through singing and music in creating awareness against drug menace,” he said. Janu Katoch presented vote of thanks. Prominent among those who present on the occasion were Parshotam Katoch, the father of Janu Katoch, Abha Jamwal, a social worker and Hari.
