Janipur Police solve two theft cases; stolen gold recovered

JAMMU: The Janipur Police have solved two theft cases, registered under FIR No. 172/2025 and FIR No. 182/2025, recovering stolen gold ornaments worth a significant amount.

The recovered items include 16 tolas of gold, retrieved after meticulous investigation involving both human and technical intelligence.
Briefing the media, SP City North, Vivek Sharma, commended the proactive approach of the Janipur Police, saying, “The recovery of stolen gold in these cases is a result of coordinated efforts, dedication, and professional vigilance of our police teams. Such successes reinforce public confidence in policing and demonstrate our commitment to ensuring safety and security in the city.”
The investigations were led by SHO Janipur, Insp Vikram Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO City West, Dr Satish Bhardwaj, and supported by PSI Rohit Manhas, PSI Sandeep Charak, SPO Ansh, among others. The teams worked tirelessly to track down the accused and recover the stolen gold, ensuring relief to the victims.
SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, lauded the efforts of the police team, stating, “This success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our officers and men. We remain committed to protecting citizens and their property, and will continue to act decisively against crime.”
The recovered gold ornaments will be returned to their rightful owners, providing closure to the victims. The cases remain under investigation, and the accused will face legal action.
