JAMMU: Heavy rush of devotees was witnessed at Bawewali Mata Temple, Bahu Fort, on Thursday, turned up to pay their obeisance and seek blessings for the New Year. Devotees began reaching the temple from midnight for early Darshan of Goddess Kali.
The temple was decorated for the New Year celebration with lights. There were long serpentine queues of devotees who came to pay obeisance. The administration managed to control the crowds and provided other facilities to avoid any mishap.
Although, the devotees started thronging the Bawe Wali Mata Temple since wee hours of the morning, but the rush picked up by 9:00 AM and continued till late evening.
