Jammu TT meet begins

JAMMU: Organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Association, the Jammu District Table Tennis Championship got underway at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here on Saturday.
The four-day long competition was declared open by Working President of the Association, V.K Magoo in a function held this afternoon.
The opening day of the championship witnessed preliminary round of competition in cadet girls’ category. Winning first two rounds, Iknoor has qualified for the third round of the competition.
Earlier, in the opening match, she defeated Archita Kesar 2-1 (11-07, 07-11, 11-08) and later trounced Bhavya 2-1 with set score being 11-6, 11-13, 11-05. In another match, Meghna outplayed Yoguni in straight sets of 11-06, 11-03.
Now, from tomorrow onwards, the matches shall be played in two sessions of morning and evening as per the already drawn fixture, informed General Secretary of the Association, Ajay Sharma.
