Jammu Smart City wins three national honours at PSU Transformation Awards 2025

NEW DELHI: Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) has brought national recognition to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by winning three prestigious awards at the 5th PSU Transformation Awards 2025. The awards were presented during the 5th PSU Transformation Conclave, organised by GovConnect in New Delhi, following a rigorous evaluation process conducted by an expert jury.

JSCL was conferred with the Nation Builder Award (Gold) for the Development of the Tawi Riverfront Project. This flagship initiative was recognised for its contribution to river rejuvenation, ecological restoration, climate-resilient urban planning, promotion of sustainability, and creation of economic opportunities. The project has emerged as a landmark example of integrating environmental stewardship with urban development.
The Outstanding Leadership in Transformation Award was presented to Dr. Devansh Yadav, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of Jammu Smart City Limited. The award acknowledges his visionary leadership and pivotal role in driving urban mobility transformation in the Jammu region, with a strong focus on citizen-centric planning and sustainable infrastructure.
Adding to the accolades, the Rising Star Award was awarded to Ashish Anand, Senior General Manager (Finance & Accounts), JSCL, for his significant contribution towards strengthening public-centric green mobility initiatives across the Union Territory. His efforts have played a key role in aligning financial governance with sustainable development goals.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Devansh Yadav stated that the national recognition is a collective achievement of the entire JSCL team and reflects their commitment to efficient, inclusive, and sustainable urban development aligned with national priorities.
Prior to the award ceremony, Sunil Thusu, Director (Projects), JSCL, participated in a panel discussion on “Leading with Purpose in a Transforming India,” where senior leaders from diverse sectors deliberated on innovation, institutional capacity-building, and purposeful leadership. In another session titled “Future-Proofing Public Sector IT: Emerging Trends and Technologies,” Ashish Anand shared insights on leveraging emerging technologies to enhance transparency, efficiency, and resilience in public sector IT ecosystems.
The JSCL delegation was also accompanied by Rajesh Abrol, Senior General Manager (Civil) and Engineer-in-Charge of the Tawi Riverfront Project, who has played a crucial role in ensuring quality, environmental compliance, and timely execution.
The conclave was co-hosted under the themes of Ease of Doing Business and Viksit Bharat, with participation from leading public sector organisations, highlighting JSCL’s growing stature as a model for sustainable and citizen-focused urban transformation.
