JAMMU: School principals are always grappled with multi-faceted responsibilities, as the grooming of future leaders is a Herculean task at any given point of time.
To recuperate the spirit of Edu-leaders of Jammu province, Jammu Sahodaya School Complex (JSSC) in collaboration with the Management of DRS KIDS organized a musical evening Sham-e-Ghazal at Hotel Lush, Gandhi Nagar here.

The musical evening was brilliantly anchored by Harshleen Kour, who enthralled the audience with her poetic diction and melodious voice. She extended a very warm welcome to all the music lovers from the educational fraternity of Jammu on behalf of DRS KIDS management & Jammu Sahodaya President.
The programme started with a famous Ghazal “Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai”, sung by Rishabh Dorjee alongwith famous Tabla maestro Joginder Pal & keyboard specialist Vicky.
Other heart-warming numbers were ‘Thak Chuke Hain Bahut, Ab Toh Ghar Jayenge’, “Chupke Chupke Raat Din Aansoo Bahaanaa Yad Hai”; “Husn Pahaadon Ka, O Sahiba…”etc.
Giving some relaxation time to the singers and musical accompaniments, KCS Mehta, Academic Director, IDPS Akhnoor & Rajesh Rathore, Principal JK Public School, Kunjwani took over the stage and mesmerized the audience by singing a ghazal “Tumko Dekha Toh Ye Khyaal Aayaa” together. Then adding variety to the programme, they conducted a musical riddle session for the audience, wherein they sang the stanza of a song and the audience was asked to identify the refrain.
The songs included, “Chaudahvin Ka Chaand Ho”, “Ab Kya Misaal Doon Main Tumhaare Shabaab Ki”, “O Mere Shahe Khubaan, O Meri Jaan-E-Janaanaa” & “Ek Ajnabi Haseena Se”.
Other talented singers from the audience, who received a big round of applause from the audience, were Puneet Kour, Principal APS Jammu Cantt, Anupama Sinha, Principal, KC International School, Pushpinder Kour, Principal APS Damana and Dr. Navneet Kour, the renowned Social activist.
President Jammu Sahodaya Rajesh Rathore lauded the wonderful initiative exhibited by the management of DRS KIDS. On behalf of Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex, he appreciated Roopam Kour, Chairperson DRS KIDS Jammu & Ajeet Singh Soni, Managing Director DRS KIDS for sponsoring the entire event at Hotel Lush, Bahu Plaza, Jammu. He also appreciated Dr. Anita Sharma, Founder Maven Vibes for ensuring the media coverage and hospitality with the utmost care.
He appreciated all the Principals for sparing their valuable time, gracing the occasion and making the musical evening extremely successful.
Dr. Kunal Anand, Vice President JSSC & Principal DPS Udhampur proposed the vote of thanks. He appreciated Ajeet Singh Soni, Managing Director DRS KIDS and Rajesh Rathore, President JSSC for taking the initiative and bringing all the music lovers under a roof amidst the delicious cuisine of Hotel Lush, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. All the Principals left the venue with cherishing memories.
