Jammu Rising Stars wins Evaluation Series by 3-2

JAMMU: Jammu Rising Stars won the 5 Matches Cricket Evaluation Series by 3-2 which was played for Junior Cricketers at Parade Ground.
The tournament was organised jointly by Jammu Sports Council and J and K Sports Promoters Club Jammu.
In the last match of the series, Vishal defeated Jammu Rising by four wickets. Batting first, Jammu Rising was bowled out for 129 runs in 25 overs. Arya Suvansh with (37), Sachin (33) and Rohan Gill (18) runs were the main scorers. For Vishal Kings, Praful took three wickets while Abhay, Aditpal, Ayush, Nalin and Dhruv shared one each. Vishal Kings, in reply, achieved the target in 19.3 overs for the loss of five wickets. Aditya with (35), Ayush (24) and Raghav (15) runs were the main scorers. Sachin took two wickets and Umar picked one for Jammu Rising.
Aditya was declared Man of the Match and Sachin was adjudged Man of the Series.
Today’s match was officiated by Sandeep, Sanjay and Vinod.
In the valedictory function, SSP Ramesh Kotwal was the Chief Guest and Chain Singh, international shooter was the Guest of Honour.
The Chief Guest greeted the winners of the series.
The Chief Guest also assured the young cricketers to hold more cricket tournament for them by Jammu Police.
Chain Singh said that he enjoyed to watch the cricket game of the budding cricketers of Jammu. He further said that there is a dire need of good infrastructure in almost all the games in the State.
The main performers in the series include Sachin with 145 runs and two wickets, Praful and Aditpal with six wickets each, Akshit with 120 runs and Rohan Gill with 115 runs.
The organizing team of the event namely Rajesh Gill, Rajesh Dhar, Madam Mohan, Salim ur Rehman and Sudhir Singh felicitated the young cricketers for their best performances.
