JAMMU: Scripting a convincing seven wickets win over Singh Akhnoor Lions, Jammu Rising Stars entered the final of the under-15 Diwali T20 League being organised by Vishal Club Jammu in collaboration with Jammu Police at Parade Ground, here on Monday.
Earlier, batting first, Singh Akhnoor Lions could manage a modest total of 61 runs in 16.5 overs for the loss of ten wickets. Shubam and Soren were the main contributors with 15 and 11 runs respectively. For Jammu Rising Stars, Shashu Abay Tondon, Agastaya and Nalin shared two wickets each while Praful Dhar, Tushar and Laith shared one each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars chased the target in 7.3 overs, losing three wickets in the process, thereby won the match by seven wickets. Ayush Andotra was the top scorer with 22 runs, while Kannav contributed 13 runs in his accounts. Shubam picked two wickets. Ayush was declared Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda, Madan and Shugul.
