Jammu rank first under Dist Good Governance Index 3.0

JAMMU: Committed towards the welfare of the common people and continuing its endeavors on the developmental front and implementation of the various Government initiatives, Jammu District has scored the First Rank under District Good Governance Index (DGGI) 3.0 among the 20 Districts of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. The district achieved a composite score of 6.43 points highest among the districts. Speaking about the achievements, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa said that this is a moment of great pride for Jammu District as the district has scaled up in governance and achieved new heights. The DC also applauded the efforts of the DSEO, Rupinder Kaur and her team for meticulously collecting and compiling the data for all the 58 indicators. She also congratulated the district officers who have worked relentlessly and urged them to work with added zeal, fervor and dedication to retain the top position. The Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta also congratulated the Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavasa and her team for the continued and concerted efforts put in for achieving the number one position.
Pertinent to mention that Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta on 15th June 2023 released the rankings of District Good Governance Index 3.0, a J&K.
