R.SPURA: To give fillip to the police-public relations, a series of public meetings have been conducted in RS Pura Zone.
On this occasion, SP Hqrs. Jammu, S.Randheer Singh was accompanied by SDPO RS Pura, S. Devinder Singh and Insp. Sanjeev Chib, SHO Miran Sahib. Hundreds of villagers of Govindgarh, Simbal Camp, Kullian and Nari were present during these meets.
The participants highlighted some genuine issues, for which on spot directions were issued to SDPO/SHO, and for others they have been assured that the matter will be taken up with the concerned authorities.
At each location volleyball kits were provided to the youths of these areas, who during various interactions with the police ere asking for the same, for which the play grounds have also been got maintained by police.
The general public of the area especially the youths have appreciated the move of the Jammu Police in not only maintaining peace and tranquility in the area but simultaneously remaining always on the fore front to perform social responsibilities as well, and giving the youths an opportunity to get themselves involved in the sports activities and not to fall prey to any drug abuse.
