Jammu emerges overall champion in wrestling

KATHUA: Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, the inter-District Division level competitions of wrestling got concluded here at Sports Stadium Kathua in which six districts of Jammu Division participated.
The tournament was for under-14, 17 and 19 years boys in which Jammu emerged as overall champion in wrestling by lifting all three trophies.
The results
Under 14: 32 kg: Harsh Vardhan Singh of Jammu trounced Sanjeet Singh of Reasi. 35 kg: Sanjeet Singh of Reasi smashed Sunny Singh of Udhampur. 38 kg: Adil Hussain of Doda trounced Shivam Singh of Kathua. 41 kg: Gurjeet Singh of Jammu smashed Maskeen Ali of Kathua. 45 kg: Khuda Baksh of Samba crushed Avay Shappar of Jammu. 49 kg: Bhag Ali of Kathua defeated Rohit
Vagaan of Jammu. 55 kg: Raj Kumar of Jammu thrashed Mohd Kaif of Samba. 60 kg: Mustaq Ahmed of Kathua was declared winner.
Under-17 42 kg: Kuldeep Singh of Reasi crushed Rohit Singh of Doda; 46 kg: Bhag Hussain of Kathua smashed Rajinder Singh of Udhampur; 50 kg: Parveen Kumar of Jammu crushed Murad Ali of Kathua; 54 kg: Benkzer Butto of Jammu defeated Ajay Kumar of Reasi; 58 kg: Shokat Ali of Kathua thrashed Mushtaq Ahmed of Samba; 63 kg:
Sudam Hussain of Jammu crushed Jatin Gupta of Kathua; 69 kg: Mangal Singh of Reasi beat Sahil Farlia of Kathua; 76 kg: Sahil Sharma of Reasi trounced Rahul Chib of Kathua; 85 kg: Arjun Singh of Jammu and in 100 kg Varun Partap Singh of Kathua declared
winner.
The tournament was organised under the direction of Joint Director Madan Lal and DYSSO Kathua Sunil Kumar supervised the events with the assistance of Joginder Kumar Khajuria, Kuldeep Singh, Avnesh Kumar, Punjab Singh, Sandeep Sharma and Sanjeev Singh.
