KATHUA: District Jammu emerged overall champion in and Inter-District Judo Tournament organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium, here on Friday. The tournament was held under the directions of Joint Director YSS Madan Lal wherein a total of 60 students of three districts viz Jammu, Kathua and Reasi participated.
“A total 37 bouts of Judo were held in the tournament,” Activity Incharge Joginder Kumar Khajuria said.

GIRLS under-14 below 23 kg: Kritika Sharma of Kathua defeated Hansvi Bhan of Jammu; 27 kg: Riya Sharma of Kathua thrashed Sabia Akhtar of Reasi; 32 kg: Payal of Jammu trounced Rita of Kathua; 36 kg: Akriti of Jammu defeated Priya Devi of Reasi; 40kg: Khushi Thakur of Jammu beat Preeti Devi of Kathua; 44 kg: Sehar of Jammu defeated Neha of Kathua; above 44 kg: Ishar Dhar of Jammu trounced Rabiya Bhat of Reasi.
Under-17 below 36 kg: Shriya Kumari of Jammu defeated Arti Devi of Kathua; 40 kg: Bindiya Mahajan of Jammu crushed Monika of Kathua; 44 kg: Vanshika Manhas of Jammu defeated Sanjana of Kathua; 48 kg: Prachi Bhagat of Jammu defeated Shalu of Kathua; 52 kg: Amista Roshan of Jammu crushed Asha of Kathua; 56 kg: Anshika Manhas of Jammu beat Saloni Salogtra of Kathua; 61 kg: Priyanshi Kapoor of Jammu trounced Neha of Kathua; Above 61 kg: Anmol Sharma of Kathua outplayed Deepmala of Jammu.
Under-19 below 36 kg: Sunita Devi of Reasi defeated Cinty of Kathua; 40 kg: Mohani of Kathua trounced Arpita Puri of Jammu; 44 kg: Komal Mahajan of Jammu crushed Vishali of Kathua; 48 kg: Bhumika of Jammu trounced Sukanya of Reasi; 52 kg: Vaishali of Jammu beat Manisha of Kathua; 56 kg: Nandani Sharma of Jammu crushed Komal Sharma of Kathua; 61 kg: Suhari Kiran of Jammu outplayed Savita Mishra of Kathua; above 61 kg: Malvika of Jammu crushed Rita of Reasi. The events were officiated by the technical panel comprising Sandeep Sharma, Punjab Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Pankaj Sapolia, Rakesh Manhas and Rajive Kumar.
