Jammu children exploring new world of creativity, innovation

JAMMU: Jammu children are currently exploring a new world of creativity and innovation in the Winter Theatre Workshop-2017-18 organised by Natrang Jammu.
Conceived by Balwant Thakur this unique work aimed at exploring immense inner abilities of children is currently in progress at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu.
All the participants are learning the art of expressing their thoughts, vision, and reflections. This art of expressing the self through the art of theatre is amazing. In every session they prepare seven to eight new skits and right from the script to characterization, to direction and presentation is done by the children itself.
In the process of learning the art of acting and improvisations, they are also preparing Balwant Thakur’s play ‘Rang Badalti Dunia’ under the direction of Neeraj Kant which will be staged on Sunday, the 7th of January, 2018 at K.L Sehgal Hall, Abhinav Theatre complex.
Today’s session started with an interaction with Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur who inspired the future stars by giving them the rarest tips of the learning of theatre through certain self disciplines. He said that such a kind of work can transform personalities and empowers an individual with lot of abilities and self confidence. This was followed by session of creative games, exercises and improvisations conducted by the workshop Neeraj Kant. The workshop is being assisted by Mohammad Yaseen, National Scholarship holder from Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Jammu children who are exploring their talent in Natrang workshop include Sumedha Manhas, Kushaan Baliya, Abhinandan Nangla, Aditya Raj Singh, Antrikeshdeep Singh, Devisha Gour, Gauri Vaid, Gayatri Vaid, Harsh Dogra, Kyra Nagpal, Mannan Soni, Mannat Soni, Nandini Singh Oberh, Nikhilesh Thakur, Ritesh Gupta, Riya Jandial, Rudra Kohli, Saanvi Anand, Sanchoyita Chatterjee, Sia Nagpal, Simran Nag, Soujanyana Shekher, Suhani Gupta, Sushant Charak and Vartik Mahajan.
