Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha passes amendments in its Constitution

JAMMU: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) passed some amendments in its constitution during Working Committee Meeting under leadership of Sabha President Romesh Chander Gupta on Sunday.
Earlier, the meeting started with chanting of Gayatri Mantra and a translation of the constitution from Urdu to Hindi was released by Yash Pal Gupta (Chief Patron), Romesh Chander Gupta (President), Shiv Partap Gupta, Harinder Gupta, (Sr Vice Presidents), Sanjay Mahajan (General Secretary) and Dr Mohan Lal Gupta (Cashier).
On the occasion, some amendments were proposed and unanimously passed by the Amendment Committee Chairman Yash Pal Gupta ( Chief Patron).The suggestions from members were also agreed and included . The last amendment in Constitution was made in 1999 and keeping in view the need of time, some major amendments were made which included increasing tenure of President from 2 years to 3 years, reopen life membership with fee of Rs 1100 and eligibility for contesting the election of President, renewing existing Life membership by depositing Rs 100, ensuring that strength of patron, office bearers, working Committee Members not exceed above 275 members etc.
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Subash Jandial, Dinesh Gupta (Councilor), K B Jandial, Mukesh Mahajan, Balbir Gupta , Subash Gupta, Rajesh Choudhary, Atul Gupta, C L Gupta, Dr Bimal Gupta, Surinder Gupta, Mrityunjay Gupta, Ram Kumar ,Om Parkash Gupta, Ravi Rohmetra, K K Gupta and Nirmal Gupta.
