Jammu-based Pathankot martyr no entity for Kashmir centric Govt

JAMMU: Once again a martyr from Jammu region has been accorded step motherly treatment by the Jammu and Kashmir government.
Out of seven brave soldiers who laid down their lives battling audacious fidayeen strike inside Pathankot air base, families of six soldiers including NSG commando Lt Col Er Niranjan and Garud commando Corporal Gursewak Singh have been promised compensation barring lone son of the soil Lance Naik Mool Raj.
Respective Chief Ministers of their native states have already announced compensation in this hour of grief.
It is only here in Jammu and Kashmir no state government authority in the absence of ailing Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed has found it appropriate to come to the rescue of martyr Lance Naik Mool Raj, hailing from Jakh village of Samba district.
Leave aside adequate compensation not a word of assurance has been delivered so far by any of the public representative or senior state government minister from Jammu region.
Though Industries Minister Chander Prakash Ganga attended the last rites of Lance Naik Mool Raj in his native village on Monday but he too returned home without committing any help to the bereaved family.
In the absence of ailing Chief Minister his deputy Dr Nirmal Singh of BJP should have reached out to the family.
Ironically, he too preferred to hide himself behind a written statement condemning the attack on Pathankot air base.
On the other hand Chief Ministers of four states namely Karnataka, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana have already announced Rs 30 lakh and Rs 20 lakh each for soldiers belonging to their respective states.
Karnataka Chief Minister had already announced sum of Rs 30 lakh for Lt Col Niranjan’s family while Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced Rs 20 lakh for Corporal Gursewak Singh, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister announced Rs 20 lakh each for two soldiers hailing from Kangra and Chamba districts while Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal too met the families of Honouary Captain Fateh Singh and Havaldar Kulwant Singh and assured them all possible help as head of the family.
