UDHAMPUR: Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and workers Association held a monthly meeting of Executive body at PHE Complex Udhampur today under its President Som Nath in which the participants criticized the apathetic attitude of the Government towards the genuine demands of the employees. President of the Association Som Nath said that number of times the employees have been assured for redressal of their grievances but nothing has been done so far. He again appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinah to look into their genuine demands for acceptance. Som Nath repeated their demands which include regularization of daily wagers who have completed more than 7 years service, payment of wagers for 65-70 months, payment according to minimum wages Act, fulfilling the vacancies because single employee is looking after the duties of 4-5 workers, holding of DPCs,
He further said that the Hartal has entered the 11th day but and Government has not taken to consider the demands of employee. He said that their Hartal will continue till the acceptance of their demands. Mean while he appealed to all type of daily wagers in Kashmir region to get united and start the Kaam Chhor Hartal till the acceptance of demands. Others who spoke Vijay Sharma, Suraj Parkash, Dinesh Kesar, Parath Singh, Prem Nath, Sham Lal, Vidya Ram, Prabhu Lal, Karan singh, Vijay Kumar, Jagdish Kumar AND Tara Chand.
