Lucknow, Nov 6 (PTI), today launched a new range of solar powered products like Home Lighting Systems (HLS), street lights, indoor RO system to cater to the needs of both urban and rural markets in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Through this initiative the company intends to focus on rural electrification by providing a reliable and affordable range of solar products supported by large after sales service network, Sandip Ghosh, Executive Vice President, Solar Products, Jakson group said.
With the launch of new range of solar power products, Jakson is targeting reaching revenue of Rs 650 crore from the solar business by 2017 compared to Rs 127 in 2014, he said.
The company has also looking at investing in rural micro grid and conducting feasibility studies in unelectrified remote villages to identify the requirement and business model to provide electricity through solar energy and storage devices, he added.
