JAMMU: Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley reached out to all the BJP Headquarters through video conferencing, wherein he addressed the party office bearers, spokespersons and panelists on the issue of demonetization.
Jaitley interacted with the party leaders sitting in their respective states and answered variety of questions related to the historic decision on currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000.
BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), while briefing the media on the need to hold video conferencing, said that after the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi declaring invalid the existing currency notes of rupees 500 and 1000 across the country, there has been widespread appreciation but unfortunately opposition parties have unleashed a false campaign and attempts are being made to present the negative picture of the milestone decision.
He said that although people are facing some problems but overall a common citizen has welcomed the decision and the Congress in particular is trying to create confusion in the minds of the people by politicizing the issue.
“The objective of video conference was to make the party leaders well equipped with the accurate information and the benefits of the milestone decision”, Sat said and added that it will make the leaders in the State to clear the doubts in the public and expose the opposition parties for their repeated attempts of negating the very concept of demonetisation.
Besides State President, party senior leaders, state office bearers, MLAs, MLCs, Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha leaders attended the video conferencing event.
