JAMMU: To take stock of the situation arising out of slackness shown by the Government in filing reply to Supreme Court for defending the judgment of High Court, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) General Category on Wednesday held a meeting here at Mahajan Sabha under the chairmanship of Vinod Gupta, President Mahajan Sabha in the presence of Ved Parkash Sharma, Convener Joint Action Committee.
The meeting was attended by a large number of representatives from different sections of society. The concerned departments (PHE/Irrigation, R&B, JKPSC etc were asked to file their reply in the Supreme Court.
The meeting also decided to approach the Governor of J and K for impressing upon the concerned departments to file the reply on top priority so that the case attains logical conclusion and vows of general category are ended.
The committee also decided to appoint district coordinator for districts and conduct more seminar/rallies to create full public awareness regarding the issue. The meeting ended with Ved Prakash Sharma, Convener JAC thanking all the participants for sparing their precious time for noble cause.
