Anil Gaur, Secretary (Org.) JAC, Ravi Khajuria and Rajkumar Jain, President Jain Sabha extended their support to Mehbooba Mufti led Coalition Government in tackling the ongoing unrest in the Valley.
Narayan Singh urged the Government to expedite the disposal of the writ petition in the Supreme Court on the matter of Reservation in Promotions so that justice bestowed upon the General category people by the historic judgment of High Court declaring the Reservation in Promotion as unconstitutional is thoroughly implemented in the State.
Ved Prakash Sharma highlighted that in similar matter pertaining to states like Uttar Pradesh the Supreme Court found the reservation in promotion rules as unconstitutional and ordered the demotion of all illegal promotees who had been promoted under the garb of these flawed rules. High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana also found these rules not satisfying the criteria as laid down in the Nagaraj judgment of Supreme court and accordingly scrapped those rules abnitio.
Ravi Khajuria, Convener JAC Samba Unit lambasted the groups and organizations who just for vote bank politics are trying to divide the society in the name of caste and demeaning the judicial process by raising hue and cry on a matter that has been decided in the High Court and currently is sub-judice in the Supreme court.
Captain Anil Gaur said that the hue and cry
raised by the groups on this sub-judice issue is totally inhuman, derogatory and against the principles of natural justice.
The members also demanded that FIR pertaining to matter of hooliganism and hurling of abuses on general category people by certain groups during their gathering in Samba must also be taken to logical conclusion and all those employees and group leaders should be booked for sedition charges and government should terminate them from Government service.
The JAC extended support to Ram Pal Seth and Madan Lal Narad who were present on behalf of Aarakshan Virodhi Manch in their efforts for spreading awareness at the grass root level on the issue.
