J-K takes home three points following draw against Baroda

VADODARA: Jammu and Kashmir took home three points following a draw against Baroda in the league match of Ranji Trophy 2014, played at Vadodara.
Baroda, overnight 370 for 7 in their first innings, inched towards J&K’s 497 with Pinal Shah and Sagar Mangalorkar offering resistance. The partnership ended with Mangalorkar’s dismissal to Ram Dayal, who returned figures of 4 for 94 from 29.2 overs. Pinal continued to battle it out but fell to Dayal after his half-century with the team on 426, trailing J&K by 71. Mangalorkar then came out blazing with the ball and scalped six wickets but his effort came too late as J&K made 147 for 9 from 55 overs in their second innings when the teams called a truce.
