Jammu:- Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra has greeted the people on the occasion of Navroz, the Parsi New Year.
In his message, the Governor said the festival has great cultural and religious significance, a Raj Bhawan spokesperson said.
Noting that the day is also observed as World Arbour Day, the Governor appealed to people to join hands in planting trees for preserving the rapidly deteriorating environment, he said.
The Governor hoped that this auspicious day would be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the state.
