JAMMU: Seasoned cueist, Jaideep Manocha, Stanzin and Abid Bhat were among those cueists, who won their league encounters in the ongoing First 6-Ball Red State Open Tournament, organised by J and K Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, Jammu, here on Monday.
While Jaideep had an easy outing, except for in the third frame (54-53), Stanzin won the game 3-1 and Abid Bhat had an easy encounter. The only tough match of the day was between Rohit Sharma and Rakesh Sharma which latter won 3-2. Meanwhile, a couple of matches, including that of Adan Lone, were still in progress when the last reports were filed.
The Detailed Results: Stanzin beat Ajay Sharma 3-1 (43-38, 55-46, 16-41, 55-23); Abid Bhat defeated Abhinandan Sharma 3-0 (56-11, 31-08, 39-20); Marshal got walkover Varun Mahajan; Mudassar blanked Akshay Singh 3-0 (40-09, 54-19, 57-15); Nikhil Kapahi trounced Nikhil Kohli 3-0 (49-11, 30-24, 35-04); Younis Kuchey downed Manipal Singh 3-1 (38-16, 27-16, 21-39, 43-24); Rohit Chib outplayed Ravneet Singh 3-1 (37-44, 40-15, 23-15, 39-15); Rohit Sharma beat Rakesh Sharma 3-2 (56-01, 60-10, 28-38, 03-27, 44-15); Jaideep Manocha defeated Shivam Gupta 3-0 (30-12, 46-23, 54-53).
