IRP 9th Bn Sports Tournament;Sindh House lifts volleyball trophy, Jhelum Kabaddi title

RAMBAN: Sindh House lifted volleyball trophy while Jhelum House bagged Kabaddi title after defeating their opponents in respective matches at the sports tournament organised by IRP 9th Bn under Civic Action Programme, here on Thursday.
In volleyball final, Sindh House outplayed Chenab House whereas in Kabaddi, Jhelum House defeated Ravi House. The tournament was organised under the chairmanship of Abrar Ahmed Chowdhary Commandant IRP 9th Bn.
In the valedictory function, Amit Bhasin Dy. Commandant IRP 9th Bn was the Chief Guest and Anil Sharma Incharge Principal Government Higher Secondary School Ramban was Guest of Honour.
A total of six teams participated in the tournament which was played on knock out basis.
The trophies and other sports items were distributed among the winner and runner up teams by the Chief Guest in the presence of other senior officers.
Amit Bhasin stressed that IRP is organising various programmes under the Civic Action Programme to promote sports culture among the youth in the State and to improve police public relation. He said that the youth should participate in the sports events and avail benefits to refine their talent.
Among others Suresh Kumar SP, Sukhdev Raj DySP, staff of the Higher Secondary School Ramban were present on the occasion.
