JAMMU: To mark J and K Police Raising Day, IRP-10th Battalion started cleanliness drive at Battalion Headquarters and surrounding areas under its vicinity.
Vijay Kumar-IPS Commandant IRP-10th Bn. and officers and jawans of the battalion took part in the cleanliness drive by cleaning residential quarters which was appreciated by one and all.
Commandant also stressed upon the jawans to make the area polythene/pollution free and eco-friendly so that the vicinity may give a better look.
Pertinent to mention here that State Police is celebrating J and K Police Week with effect from 12th June which will spread-over to 19th of this month. In this regard, various programmes have been chalked out including multifarious cleanliness drives, medical programmes, cold water Chabeels for the public to improve better police public relations and to bridge the gap between community and policing.
