IPD at hospitals to start from Monday, Blood Banks activated

SRINAGAR: The repair and restoration of equipment and machinery at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar started today even as the in-patient department (IPD) at all the tertiary care hospitals of the city is expected to be started from Monday.
Technicians from various companies like Siemens, Toshiba etc have arrived and they have started the repair work of machines and equipment at the hospital.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Taj Mohi ud Din, who is personally supervising the process of service resumption at these hospitals, has directed that all the equipment including diagnostic should henceforth be placed at the first floors and above to avoid any mishap in future.
The Blood Banks at the hospitals have also been activated.
Moreover, besides opening of IPD, Pathology and Bio Chemistry labs at these hospitals are also likely to be opened from Monday.
