JAMMU: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has granted affiliation to Karate Association of India (KAI) after a long time.
The KAI has already been recognised by Union Ministry of Youth Services and Sports since 2013.
Pertinent to mention here that Karate has been made part of the in Tokyo Olympics 2020, handout issued by the Amateur Karate Association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK). Meanwhile, the AKAJK expressed their satisfaction to the IOA decision. “Now, the game shall get a boost in the country, especially in Jammu and Kashmir”, said General Secretary of the AKAJK, Ambedkar Gupta.
