Jammu: Nurturing students to be future leaders, an Investiture Ceremony was held at KC Public School to bestow the deserving students with responsibility of leading the school. It was a momentous occasion for those who could make it to be a part of the students’ council. It was a celebration of felicity and pride that brought in its wake new challenges and new aspirations.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a speech by the school Principal. He emphasized on the importance of discipline, dignity and decorum and guided the students’ council to remember that the glorification of team work is far more important than self glorification.

Cultural programme was presented comprising inspirational song and a dance celebrating the spirit of championship. The Head Boy, Haren Raina and Head Girl Meliha Sharma recited motivational poems on leadership. Through their poems, they promised a definite change for a better tomorrow. This was followed by pinning up of badges by the Principal and the entire council taking oath to discharge their duties with sincerity. Congratulating the newly appointed leaders, the Headmistress motivated them to aim higher and to remember that leadership is not position but it is action. The ceremony ended with National Anthem.
