JAMMU: GD Goenka Public School on Monday organised Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2015-16.
The day proved fruitful to see the beaming faces displaying the gesture to prove their worth. A ceremony was held in the school premises where the council was conferred sashes and badges by the Principal, Dr. R.P Singhl. The oath was administered by the Principal in which the student council pledged to keep the welfare of the students at their utmost priority and promised to disburse their duties and responsibilities in the most pro-active and diligent manner.
The portfolios are as– Rounaq Singh Bali (Head Boy), Anmol Rathore (Head Girl), Ritish Verma (Deputy Head Boy), Akanshu Sudan (Deputy Head Girl), Shivani Pawar (Activity Captain), Aarushi Arora (Activity Captain), House Captains – Jaideep Bakshi and Payal Vij (Teresa House), Hardik Khajurai and Himani Vaid (Tagore House), Dolly Dogra and Sidharth Sharma (Radhakrishnan House), Muskan Qazi and Raghav Sharma (Vivekananda House) and Mohd. Yousaf and Simran as Sports Captains. Dr. R.P Singh said that the students of today are the visionaries of tomorrow. The ceremony ended on a note of positivity and willingness with senate the promising to do the very best. Mother’s Day was also celebrated in the school. The students presented a special Assembly by paying homage to their reverend mothers. As quoted by the Principal of the school, Dr. R.P Singh, “I Salute every mother in every home.”
