Investiture ceremony 2025: JK Public School Kunjwani installs new Student Council with responsibility

JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani held its annual investiture ceremony with great enthusiasm and dignity marking the official induction of the newly elected student council for the academic session 2025-26.

The event began with a welcome extended to the esteemed guests, dignitaries and proud parents in attendance. The school auditorium buzzed with anticipation as the newly elected Chief Council members that are the Head Boy, Head Girl, House captains and prefects marched in their crisp uniforms with heads held high ready to shoulder the responsibilities entrusted to them.
Among the distinguished guests present were Chairman JK Educational Society Raj Daluja, Director JK Educational Society Shashi Choudhary, members of the management Sidharth Daluja and Gautam Daluja, proud parents of the newly elected students council, teachers and students.
The Chief Guest of the day was Ankush Gupta. He was selected from among the parents present.
The program opened with the auspicious rendition of Saraswati Vandana followed by a brief welcome address by the faculty. A ceremonial flag hoisting symbolizing the spirit of leadership and unity was there after which the student leaders took an oath to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them.
Rajesh Rathore, Principal JK Public School Kunjwani, congratulated the council members and reminded them of their significant roles.
He said, “Leadership is not about titles or positions – it is about action and example. Each of you has been chosen because you embody the values of JK Public School. Let your conduct inspire your peers and reflect the true essence of service”.
In a deeply motivating moment, the Head Boy delivered an inspiring speech about duty teamwork and importance of reading with humility and discipline.
The newly elected students council has the following badge bearers: Adarsh Preet Singh (Head Boy), Riya Slathia (Head Girl), Adhyan Atri (Vice Head Boy), Priyansh Sharma (Vice Head Boy), Rishita Bhagotra (Vice Head Girl), Kritika Sharma (Vice Head Girl), Suryavansh Singh (Sports Captain- Boys), Samridhi Sharma (Sports Captain-Girls), Aryan Gupta (Cultural Captain-Boys), Hemshekha (Cultural Captain-Girls), Mohd Faizan Bhat (Discipline Captain-Boys), Ruhani Singh (Discipline Captain-Girls) along with the badge bearers of different Houses i.e Tilak House, Tagore House, Bhagat Singh House and Radha Krishnan House. The proud House masters were there along with parents to honour them.
Teachers, parents and peers looked on with pride at the newly elected council knowing that they would lead not only with their minds but also with your hearts and make a big difference in their tenure.
Following this, sashes and batches were formally presented to the council members, symbolizing their commitment to the school’s vision. The responsibilities of the student council-ranging from maintaining discipline, promoting school spirit, fostering student engagement and representing their peers-were clearly outlined, reinforcing the gravity of the rules.
The event came to a close it with a vote of thanks by the Head Boy expressing gratitude to the staff students who had contributed to the events success, followed by the national anthem which resonated with pride and unity.
The investiture ceremony not only empowered young leaders but also reinforced the school’s belief in holistic education that nurtures responsibility leadership and excellence.
