Inter-Zonal under-14 Tournament for Girls Manjakot, Rajouri, Doongi Zone win respective titles

RAJOURI:  Manjakot, Rajouri and Doongi Zone won respective volleyball, kabaddi and kho-kho title in the Inter-Zonal under-14 Tournament for Girls, organized by the Department of Youth and Services and Sports District Rajouri, which concluded at Mini Stadium Rajouri, here on Tuesday.

In the finals,  Manjakot zone beat Baljaralla Zone in volleyball; Rajouri zone outplayed and Doongi Zone in kabaddi and Doongi Zone trounced Rajouri Zone in kho-kho.

The tournament was conducted under the overall control of Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, J and K Government and under the supervision of Mohd Ayaz Khan, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Rajouri.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by MLC, Vibodh Gutpa in the presence of prominent citizens.  MLC praised the performance of students and the team of Physical Education Officials and also stressed that physical activity and sports is very essential for schools.

The winner teams in each discipline were awarded with the trophies.
